This was confirmed by Kai Siebenäuger, press spokesperson for the Görlitz police, on the MDR programme "Kripo live." According to reports, the men are already in pretrial detention "in another matter," as reported by the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
Based on the investigation so far, there is suspicion that the two arrestees triggered an explosive detonation that caused the house to collapse. "Es bestehe der Verdacht, dass sie eine Sprengstoff-Explosion ausgelöst haben," Siebenäuger said.
