Erfurt, June 7, 2026
Annett Kaufmann has won the women's singles title at the German Table Tennis Championships in Erfurt for the third time in succession, defeating world number nine Sabine Winter 4-3 in the final.
Kaufmann's third strike in a row
The women's singles decision came on Sunday in a seven-set final. Kaufmann prevailed over Winter 4-3 (12:10, 11:13, 9:11, 11:2, 11:6, 6:11, 11:4). After trailing 1-2 in sets, the 19-year-old fought her way back and decided the match in the seventh game. For the German national team player, it is the third consecutive national championship title.
In the semifinals, Kaufmann had already gotten the upper hand against Nina Mittelham 4-1. Mittelham had been the last player before Kaufmann to achieve such a triple success in the women's singles – she triumphed from 2019 to 2021. The rematch of the previous year's final between Kaufmann and Winter thus ended once again with the same result.
