Apple unveiled a significantly revamped Siri with artificial intelligence at WWDC, which will initially be available only in English and only as a test version for developers. In the European Union, the new AI Siri will not be rolled out on iPhones and iPads for the time being, because Apple is in dispute with the EU Commission over opening up the system to competitors. On Mac and on the Vision Pro headset, however, European users will be able to use the new Siri.

Apple on Monday introduced a new version of its voice assistant Siri, refreshed with artificial intelligence, at its developer conference WWDC, and it will not appear on iPhones and iPads in the European Union for the time being.

The event is considered the last WWDC under CEO Tim Cook: in September, the top manager previously responsible for hardware, John Ternus, is to take over leadership. Apple presented the new Siri with artificial intelligence on Monday at its in-house developer conference WWDC, the company said. Initially, the new AI Siri will only be offered in English. A test version of the new software is to be made available to developers, with the new programs and features traditionally being rolled out to the general public from the autumn.
