Frankfurt, 08 June 2026
The 22-year-old Frankfurt student Anton Baranov has won a programming competition held by the US technology company Apple with his app "Pitch Coach," gaining international attention in the process.
Student Anton Baranov, born in Yekaterinburg and who moved to Germany at the age of 18, prevailed over competitors from around the world. His application "Pitch Coach" is aimed at people who want to train lectures, pitches, or other presentations. Apple traditionally honors young app developers ahead of its developer conference WWDC.
Features and Technology of the App
The core function of the app is an analysis of speaking pace: users receive prompts when they speak too quickly or too slowly. In addition, the software recognizes typical filler words such as "ähm" or "also" and draws attention to them. The aim is to help speakers gradually improve their style of expression.
