The Iranian military leadership has declared an end to its attacks on Israel, describing them as a "response" in support of Lebanon, while US President Donald Trump called on both sides to immediately cease fire.

The Iranian armed forces announced on Sunday via state radio that they would end their attacks on Israel. The statement read: "Against this background, the cessation of operations by the armed forces is announced." The Islamic Republic had delivered a "painful response" to Israel in support of Lebanon, the statement, broadcast via state radio, continued.

Israel's army reported rocket attacks from Iran. According to the Israeli military, Iran fired missiles at, among other targets, a petrochemical facility in Haifa. Israel's air defense intercepted them, the army said. There were initially no reports of casualties or damage.
