Major Police Operation in Rendsburg: Eight Arrests Following Altercation in Shisha Bar

According to the police, the shisha bar is located in a brick building in Rendsburg's pedestrian zone on an otherwise quiet street. At the time of the operation, eight people were in the establishment, according to police. The exact sequence of the altercation and the relationship between those involved remained unclear initially.

All individuals present were brought out of the building and initially taken to the Rendsburg police station. Two individuals sustained minor injuries, according to police. There were no fatalities or serious injuries, the emergency services emphasized. Authorities assessed that there was no immediate danger to uninvolved individuals at any point.

Arrests and Two Slightly Injured

Following an order from the Kiel Public Prosecutor's Office, the vehicles of those involved were searched. Investigators recovered a firearm from one of the cars and confiscated it. Details about the type of weapon and ammunition were not immediately disclosed.

According to investigators, proceedings have been initiated against the eight suspects for threats, suspected mutual bodily harm, and illegal possession of a firearm. As Chief Public Prosecutor Michael Bimler stated, "An investigation into threats has been initiated."

By late morning, the Police Department announced that the situation had de-escalated. The eight individuals temporarily arrested were able to leave the Rendsburg police station later in the day after the initial police measures were completed.

The Rendsburg Criminal Police and the Kiel Public Prosecutor's Office have taken over further investigations. Authorities initially provided no further information on the background of the altercation – particularly the specific trigger and the relationships between those involved.
