Two days before the first anniversary of the mass shooting at BORG Dreierschützengasse in Graz, the Styrian education directorate, the State of Styria, and representatives of the school provided information on the current state of the follow-up process, ongoing construction work, and planned support services.
Background: The Day of the Mass Shooting
On 10 June 2025, a 21-year-old Austrian entered his former school and shot indiscriminately at students and teachers with two legally owned firearms. Nine students and one teacher lost their lives that day before the gunman took his own life. According to the current state of knowledge, the perpetrator acted alone, and his weapons were legally in his possession. A total of eleven other people were injured, some of them seriously.
