Switzerland's national football team secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Jordan in a friendly match in St. Gallen on Sunday, their final test on home soil before departing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Head coach Murat Yakin's side dominated the first half with three goals, showcasing sharp attacking play. Breel Embolo opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 28th minute after Remo Freuler was fouled by the Jordanian goalkeeper, netting his 24th international goal.
Dan Ndoye doubled the lead just five minutes later, finishing off a perfect pass from Michel Aebischer to make it 2-0. The Swiss continued to press, and Johan Manzambi nearly added a third when his shot struck the post in the 23rd minute.
