President Donald Trump has sent an already fully negotiated framework agreement with Iran back to Tehran with tougher conditions, according to US media reports on Saturday.

The New York Times reported that Trump was dissatisfied with the negotiated agreement and sent it back to Tehran with tougher conditions. Axios added that among the points Trump objected to was the handling of uranium enriched by Iran.

The White House stated that Trump insists on adherence to his 'red lines,' though it remained initially unclear what specifically the US president was demanding. Trump told Fox News on Friday that he was 'not in a hurry.'
