Harrison/Genoa, June 7, 2026
Norway and Morocco drew 1-1 (0-1) in a World Cup warm-up friendly, while Italy beat Greece 1-0 (1-0) in another exhibition match.
Both teams fielded what appeared to be their strongest available lineups in Harrison, New Jersey. Brahim Diaz (8th minute) of Real Madrid had earlier put the 2022 World Cup semifinalists in front. Morocco then controlled the game for long stretches before the Arsenal midfielder secured a 1-1 (0:1) draw for the Scandinavians with his strike in the 75th minute.
Ödegaard Salvages a Draw for Norway
Norway's superstar Erling Haaland remained largely unremarkable until being substituted in the 72nd minute. The star striker was barely able to make an impact during his short time on the pitch. Norway therefore heads into the upcoming World Cup with mixed feelings.
