Dresden, Germany — April 2, 2026 German furniture manufacturer OKA has filed for insolvency, putting more than 200 jobs at risk in one of the region’s largest employers. Nicolas Rebel of White & Case Counsel has been appointed as the insolvency administrator, while Ralf Hage and Martin Obendorf from DMP Solutions in Dresden will serve as restructuring advisors. All existing restructuring options are being explored in coordination with the restructuring advisors and parties involved to create a basis for the company’s sustainable continuation"). The financial troubles stem largely from delays in commissioning a new production facility in Wykroty, Poland. Managing director Kasper began construction on the 125,000-square-meter factory in 2023, but the project was never completed. Employee salaries are secured for three months through insolvency pay. OKA, a long-standing furniture manufacturer, remains under restructuring efforts as advisors assess potential solutions.
