Investigation Underway

Authorities are still investigating the exact sequence of events leading to the fatal attack, which occurred around 12:30 PM in a grazing area regularly used by walkers and hikers. The woman, a local resident, died at the scene from her injuries, while her 65-year-old husband was airlifted to a hospital in Innsbruck with severe injuries.

Police confirmed that the husband has not yet been questioned due to his condition. Hospital spokesperson Johannes Schwamberger told the APA on Monday that the man was initially treated in intensive care but was later moved to an observation ward. "There is no acute life-threatening danger," Schwamberger said.
