Brazilian attacker Raphinha is set to return to the Seleção's squad after his thigh injury and could feature in the World Cup Round of 16 against Norway on Sunday (22:00, MagentaTV) in East Rutherford, at least as a substitute.
National team coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed this ahead of the match. The 67-year-old coach spoke of positive developments for the 29-year-old winger, who had been sidelined since the second group stage match against Haiti due to an injury suffered during the game.
Ancelotti said Raphinha was not yet at one hundred percent but could sit on the bench and play a few minutes. The coach thus hinted at a possible substitute appearance for the attacker, who plays for FC Barcelona this season and has already earned 41 caps for Brazil.
