Amazon has launched a new service called Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS), offering external businesses access to its extensive freight, warehousing, and delivery infrastructure. The move marks a significant expansion of Amazon’s logistics capabilities beyond its own e-commerce operations, targeting retail, wholesale, and commercial sectors.

A New Era for Amazon’s Logistics

ASCS is designed to help businesses across industries—including healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, and retail—move goods more efficiently, from raw materials to finished products. The service builds on a three-year pilot program that allowed thousands of Amazon sellers to leverage third-party facilities and external sales channels.

Peter Larsen, ASCS vice president, emphasized the strategic importance of supply chain operations to Amazon’s success. "Supply chain wasn't just a function at Amazon – it was core to providing an exceptional shopping experience," Larsen said. "Our differentiator. The reason we could offer fast, dependable delivery that nobody else could."
