Apple has agreed to a $250 million settlement to resolve a lawsuit alleging delays in delivering promised AI enhancements for its Siri voice assistant, according to court documents filed in California.

The lawsuit, initiated by Peter Landsheft in 2024, targeted Apple’s failure to roll out certain AI features for Siri as announced during its June 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The company had previewed a suite of upgrades, including advanced AI capabilities, which were slated to debut with the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro models in autumn 2024.

Settlement Details and Eligibility

The proposed settlement, pending judicial approval, covers U.S. residents who purchased an iPhone 16 or iPhone 15 Pro between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible claimants could receive $25 per device, with potential adjustments raising the payout to as much as $95 depending on the number of claims filed.
