Arsenal continue winning streak at Aston Villa

In the closing stages of the game, the London side also had to withstand several dangerous situations. Aston Villa pushed for an equaliser and repeatedly came close to finding the back of the net themselves. In the end, the Arsenal defence held firm under the pressure, making the narrow away victory all the more valuable.

With the win in Birmingham, Arsenal extended their streak of league victories to start the season. In the previous matches, Mikel Arteta's side had already impressed and sent an early signal to the competition. The performance at Aston Villa underlines that the London side also stays on track away from home.

Implications for the table

For Aston Villa, the defeat means a setback at their own stadium. The team coached by Unai Emery had set their sights high before the match and had hoped to take points against the league leaders. Instead, the Villans now have to absorb a small dip in form.

In the coming weeks, a packed schedule awaits both clubs, with further Premier League fixtures as well as their first appearances in European competitions. Arsenal travel to their next assignments full of confidence, while Aston Villa do not want to lose touch with the upper reaches of the table.

Outlook on the upcoming tasks

Saka himself is one of the most outstanding players of the still young season and once again delivered the decisive impulse in Birmingham. His eye for goal and his dynamism on the wing remain a central building block in the Gunners' play.

Observers rate the narrow win as a maturity test for the table-toppers. A team that keeps its composure even in a tight away game against defensively minded opponents and walks off the pitch as the winner at the end fulfils the demands placed on a title contender.
