Austria’s Eurovision 2026 entrant Cosmó will present his song "Tanzschein" in a non-competitive performance during the semifinal at Vienna’s Stadthalle, despite already securing a spot in the final as the host country’s representative.
Austria’s Special Role as Host
As the host nation for Eurovision 2026, Austria bypasses the semifinal qualification process, with Cosmó already guaranteed a place in the grand final. However, the Austrian act will still take the stage during the semifinal round to perform his entry "Tanzschein" for the international audience.
The decision allows Austria to showcase its musical contribution without affecting the competitive results.
