The establishment's menu is considered versatile within Salzburg's gastro scene. According to the available information, the weekly menu includes, among other items, marinated boiled beef (Tafelspitz) with horseradish and sautéed chanterelles, pumpkin seed oil and crusty bread, Lungau chanterelles à la crème with bread dumpling, as well as a chanterelle roast of premium beef with butter dumplings. For dessert, strawberry tiramisu is offered.

Open questions on continuation and restructuring

According to the AKV, the background to the case is that the bankruptcy proceedings were not opened by the company itself but on a creditor's petition. "Da das vorliegende Konkursverfahren auf Gläubigerantrag eröffnet wurde, liegen derzeit noch keine näheren Informationen zu den Insolvenzursachen sowie zur Vermögenslage des Schuldners vor," the AKV says. "Es bleibt daher die Stellungnahme des Insolvenzverwalters abzuwarten," it adds.

The matter is causing a stir in Salzburg's gastronomy scene, as the establishment is located directly at the Kapuzinerberg and has been a fixed part of the city center for four decades. How many employees are specifically affected is currently unknown.

According to the AKV's assessment, the first reliable information can be expected only once the insolvency administrator's statement is available. Until then, it remains unclear whether the traditional establishment can be continued in any form.

The case is part of a series of insolvencies in Salzburg's hospitality industry that have recently been the subject of public discussion. The AKV generally points out that, in the case of proceedings opened on a creditor's petition, the information situation is typically limited at the outset.
