A Farewell in her Home
The memorial procession took place in the coastal suburb where the singer had grown up. Residents lined the streets as the hearse passed slowly by. According to the organizers, fans traveled from several parts of the United Kingdom to pay their final respects to the artist, who was born Gaynor Hopkins.
Bonnie Tyler grew up with three sisters and two brothers. This large family shaped her life in the Welsh port city of Swansea and the bond with her homeland, which she repeatedly emphasized in interviews over the decades.
