On Tuesday, stocks in the chip and quantum computing sector on US exchanges recovered after a subdued start to the week, supported by slightly falling oil prices and hopes for a ceasefire in the Iran conflict.

In pre-market trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), shares of several quantum computing companies rose notably. D-Wave Quantum gained as much as 1.97 percent to $17.05, IonQ climbed by up to 3.04 percent to $35.28, and Rigetti Computing added as much as 2.88 percent to $14.66. With this, the sector continued its recovery from the beginning of the week, after stocks had come under pressure on the preceding Friday.
