The Kennedy Center in Washington is removing the name of US President Donald Trump from parts of the building, documents, and signage at the instruction of a court.

The Kennedy Center in Washington must erase the name of Donald Trump from its facade, official documents, and all signage. As reported by several US newspapers, a judge ordered that the name change be reversed. A renaming could not be carried out unilaterally by the institution's management, as the cultural center's name was originally established by the US Congress.

The court ruling was made last week, according to a memo sent to the institution's staff the day before its publication. In it, personnel were instructed to immediately remove Trump's name from email signatures, letterheads, and voicemail greetings. The memo is in the possession of several US newspapers. The website, brochures, and interior and exterior signage must also be updated by June 12.
