Stuttgart, June 13, 2026

The American Taylor Fritz has reached the final at the ATP 250 tournament in Stuttgart with a 6-4, 6-4 semifinal win over Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan and will play for the title defense on Sunday.

Fritz needed only two sets against the Kazakh and, according to the German Press Agency, prevailed convincingly 6-4, 6-4. The 28-year-old, who won the tournament last year, once again showed strong form on grass and confirmed his qualities on the fast surface.

A purely American duel now awaits in the final: Ben Shelton, Ben Shelton, prevailed in the second semifinal against Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic. After roughly three hours of play, Shelton converted his win 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (16:14), 7-6 (8:6), even saving two match points in the second-set tiebreak. Earlier on Saturday, Shelton had completed his quarterfinal, which had been suspended the previous day, against Japan's Sho Shimabukuro, coming from behind to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
