Demirovic scores brace: Werder Bremen wins 4:2 at VfB Stuttgart

Werder continue their winning streak

The victory fits the picture of a team that has been consistently collecting points in recent matches. With the 4:2 win over Stuttgart, Werder further extended their successful run and kept rivals from Munich, Leverkusen and other clubs at bay.

The other Bundesliga clubs were also in action on the 8th matchday. The action produced a range of different results: while Werder were successful in Stuttgart, other teams faced challenges in their respective matches.

Schalke lose against Leipzig

Schalke 04 suffered defeat against RB Leipzig on the same matchday. The Royal Blues lost 2:0 at home and remain in the lower section of the table.

Demirovic's brace was the central moment of the evening in Stuttgart. Werder scored regularly, while the Stuttgart defenders relied on their attacking strengths to keep the game open, but ultimately were not able to equalise enough.

After the 4:2, both teams have now completed their fixtures for the matchday. Werder can build on their success in the coming Bundesliga matches, while Stuttgart must focus on their next opportunity to collect points against their rivals.
