Update of 16 June 2026: The DIW chief now also quantifies the impact of the high part-time rate among women with reference to calculations by an EU agency, which sees gross domestic product in Europe rising by up to ten percent by 2050 through greater equality. Fratzscher described this magnitude as realistic. The macroeconomic dimension thus comes more to the fore than in earlier statements.
