A 57-year-old Austrian threatened his wife with a kitchen knife to her throat on Saturday afternoon in a single-family house in Vienna-Floridsdorf and threatened to kill her, with a breathalyzer test showing approximately 4.2 per mille blood alcohol.

According to the Vienna State Police Directorate, the man held a kitchen knife to his wife's throat and threatened to kill her. The incident occurred on Saturday at around 3:30 p.m. in a single-family house in Vienna's 21st district, Floridsdorf.

The woman managed to flee the house. Officers from the Kummergasse police station found the 57-year-old still inside the house. A breathalyzer test conducted showed an alcohol level of approximately 4.2 per mille, according to police.
