Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa has filed a lawsuit against Samsung seeking $15 million in damages for the unauthorized use of her image, which she claims the company continued to exploit despite her demands to remove it.

Legal Battle Over Image Rights

Dua Lipa, known for hits like "Houdini" and "Dance The Night," alleges that Samsung disregarded her repeated requests to cease using her photograph. According to the lawsuit, the pop star had demanded the removal of the image last year, but Samsung responded in an "abweisend und gleichgültig" (dismissive and indifferent) manner and continued its unauthorized use.

The lawsuit, filed in California, asserts that Samsung exploited Lipa’s brand identity for commercial gain without her consent. The singer is not only seeking financial compensation but also an immediate halt to the use of her image in any Samsung-related promotions or materials.
