Four men attacked each other with knives in downtown Heilbronn on Thursday morning, leaving all four injured and requiring hospitalization.

The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m., prompting an emergency call to the police. Officers responded to the scene in the city center, where they found the four injured men.

According to police, the men involved were aged between 18 and 36. Two of them sustained serious injuries, while the severity of the wounds for the other two was not immediately known.

Arrests and Injuries

A police spokesperson stated: "Vier Männer in Heilbronn mit Messern aufeinander losgegangen." The exact circumstances leading up to the violent confrontation remain unclear.

Shortly after the attack, officers arrested an 18-year-old and a 27-year-old man near the scene. The other two men were also taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that no other people were injured during the incident. "Weitere Menschen wurden der Polizei zufolge nicht verletzt," the police said.

Police Operation and Public Safety

The area surrounding the scene was cordoned off extensively for the duration of the police operation. The large-scale closure led to significant traffic disruptions in the city center.

The police emphasized that there was no danger to the general public at any time. "Gefahr für die Bevölkerung bestand aber zu keiner Zeit," the statement read.

By the time of reporting, the cordon had been lifted and the area was reopened to the public. The police investigation into the cause of the altercation is ongoing.
