An attentive citizen called police at midday on Monday in Aspach in the district of Braunau because a four-year-old girl was locked in a scorching-hot car; the 40-year-old mother from Tyrol will be reported to the competent authority.
Update from July 14, 2026: The Upper Austrian State Police Directorate has released details of the incident on Monday in Aspach. According to the report, a citizen contacted police at midday because a small child was sitting locked inside a parked car. Officers freed the already heavily perspiring four-year-old and provided her with water. The mother will be reported.

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday in Aspach in the district of Braunau am Inn. The girl was strapped in and was unable to free herself. Emergency personnel opened the vehicle and brought the child out of the heat. Police initially provided no further information about the girl's condition beyond what had already been reported.
