St. Petersburg, 31 May 2026
German business leaders, including executives from Globus Holding and dairy producer EkoNiva, are attending the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this week, a gathering closely associated with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Matthias Schepp, chairman of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK), defended the participation in an interview with the Deutsche Presse-Agentur. He stated that the West must maintain economic contacts with Russia, not least to prepare for a potential post-ceasefire landscape.
Protecting Billions in Assets
