The Greens have accused the federal government of designing the planned gambling reform primarily around expected revenues rather than player protection, as National Council member Nina Tomaselli criticized before journalists on Thursday.
With the planned gambling reform, the federal government had primarily kept an eye on the hoped-for revenues, while player protection falls by the wayside, complained Green National Council member Nina Tomaselli before journalists on Thursday.
Tomaselli therefore spoke of an "Einnahmenreform" (reform focused on revenues). According to her account, the government is planning additional revenues estimated at 120.5 million euros, while stricter protection rules for players are being pushed into the background.
