Schlager singer Helene Fischer has entered the German single charts at number one for the first time as a solo artist with her new song "Heute Nacht," as announced by GfK Entertainment.

While the 41-year-old musician had previously reached the top of the charts at the end of 2023 with a re-recorded version of "Atemlos durch die Nacht" featuring rapper Shirin David, she was not alone at the time. The original song, released in 2013, had only managed to reach number three on the single charts back then. With "Heute Nacht," Fischer has now reached the top spot solo for the first time.

From Duet to Solo Peak

According to the GfK Entertainment chart descriptions, the new track is a poppy schlager song with a catchy melody and a powerful chorus. The single is the first preview of a new studio album that fans have been waiting for for five years, according to the record label. "Heute Nacht" also achieved the strongest sales week in Germany in over two years.
