Helene Fischer Conquers German Single Charts for the First Time as a Solo Artist with "Heute Nacht"

With the song, Telekom has also made Fischer the voice for MagentaTV for the Men's World Cup, which starts on June 11. The track is therefore the official accompanying song for the telecommunications company's broadcasts. The chart success coincides with the start of Fischer's 360-degree stadium tour, which begins on June 10 in Dresden and celebrates her 20th stage anniversary.

Fischer was moved by the success. She said: "I am incredibly happy about this success and incredibly grateful for the support of my fans. 'Heute Nacht' is something very special to me because this song marks the beginning of a new musical chapter." She added that it makes her "proud and happy" that it entered directly at number one. On Instagram, she wrote: "I'm so happy! Thank you!! This is for you!! We'll celebrate this together on tour!" In a video, she celebrated the success with her team and a cake.

Behind Fischer, several international superstars are moving up in the other positions: Justin Bieber feat. Wir müssen gehen." According to market researchers, the band from Düsseldorf is achieving the strongest album debut by a German artist in four years.

With 13 number-one albums, Die Toten Hosen are now on par with BAP and Depeche Mode, who are also among the bands with the most chart-toppers in the history of the German album charts. Singer Campino will turn 63 this year. Paul McCartney's "The Boys Of Dungeon Lane" and Farid Bang's "So muss man gehen" also make it into the top ranks of the album charts.

The chart success of "Heute Nacht" is embedded in a broad marketing offensive surrounding the upcoming stadium tour and the Football World Cup. MagentaTV is using the song as the anthem for its own broadcasts. With this, Telekom is connecting one of Germany's most popular artists with the sporting event of the summer.

Whether the success of "Heute Nacht" will also rub off on the yet-to-be-released studio album remains to be seen in the coming chart weeks.
