VIENNA, 25 August 2026

The Viennese confectionery manufacturer Manner slipped into the loss zone in the first half of 2026, causing equity to decline by 7.6 percent to 71.7 million euros.

As the company's half-year financial report shows, the equity of the confectionery manufacturer Manner decreased significantly. The equity ratio fell by 7.6 percent to 71.7 million euros. According to the available data, this decline is attributable to two factors.

A significant reason was the negative half-year result that Manner recorded in the first half of 2026. As a result, the long-established Austrian company was unable to generate a profit in the first six months of the current financial year. Industry observers interpret a loss during this period as a clear warning signal, since the first half of the year traditionally covers the higher-revenue phase in the confectionery business.
