In a Norwegian village, the parents Lene and Bjarte named their newborn daughter Erle because the girl was born precisely in the 86th minute – in the same minute of play in which football star Erling Haaland scored the winning goal against the Ivory Coast.

Birth and winning goal in the same minute of play

The story sounds like a screenplay: While the World Cup match between Norway and the Ivory Coast was being played on Tuesday evening, Lene gave birth to her daughter in a Norwegian village. Exactly in the 86th minute, in which striker Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal, the girl came into the world. The Norwegian television channel TV2 picked up the anecdote on Friday and made it internationally known.
