In Germany, there were around 2.6 million dollar millionaires last year according to calculations by the Swiss bank UBS, one percent more than in 2024.
Global growth accelerates
The total number of dollar millionaires worldwide rose by 1.5 percent, or almost one million people, as the Swiss bank UBS reported. In 2025 alone, global private wealth grew by 10.8 percent, it said. By comparison, in 2023 and 2024 the increase had been "only" 4.6 and 4.2 percent.
According to UBS, the development was driven primarily by strong financial markets as well as real assets, for example real estate and other property. Wealth above five million dollars grew particularly strongly, it said.
"In Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the increase was above average – at 17.5 percent." The Asia-Pacific region recorded a gain of 5.9 percent. The Americas fell in between. Almost half of the global increase in millionaires was attributable to the USA.
