Nvidia and Corning have announced a long-term partnership to build three advanced manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas, significantly expanding domestic production of optical fiber for AI infrastructure.
The collaboration, revealed on May 6, 2026, marks a major step in addressing the growing demand for high-speed data transmission in AI applications. The new plants are projected to create at least 3,000 jobs and multiply Corning’s U.S. optical manufacturing capacity tenfold.
