Porsche is reportedly preparing to cut up to 4,000 additional jobs, with the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer expanding a cost-cutting programme that has already eliminated roughly 1,900 positions in the region through socially responsible measures.

According to a report by Handelsblatt, the additional cuts could bring the total number of positions affected at Porsche to around 4,000. The newspaper said the company is reviewing roughly 30 percent of capacity at its Weissach development site, one of the brand's main engineering hubs. The Weissach figures account for a significant share of the newly reported reduction target.
