Real Madrid has informed the entourage of Vinicius Júnior that it will not improve the contract offer most recently put to the Brazilian, Spanish newspaper Marca reports.
According to Marca, the Madrid-based club has communicated to the 26-year-old's representatives that the latest proposal on the table will not be revised upward. The stance marks a clear signal from the Spanish capital side in protracted negotiations over the forward's future at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Background to the negotiations
Vinicius Júnior, a Brazil international, is one of the most prominent attacking players on Real Madrid's roster. Contract discussions between the player and the club have run for an extended period, with the two sides previously exchanging proposals through intermediaries.
