The Austrian tennis player Jurij Rodionov was eliminated as the last Austrian in singles at the ATP 500 tournament at Vienna's Stadthalle. The tournament will therefore conclude without any further Austrian representatives in the main draw.
Rodionov had already fallen behind in the first set. Against the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, he ended up trailing 6:7 (6), 5:7, meaning his elimination in two sets offered no comeback opportunity.
With Rodionov's departure, attention now turns to the remaining international tennis players at the tournament in Vienna. Those named include superstar Carlos Alcaraz, Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, the Almaty finalist, and Austria's Lukas Neumayer.
