Borussia Dortmund has secured the signing of 19-year-old center-back Joane Gadou from Red Bull Salzburg in a deal worth approximately €20 million, the clubs confirmed on Tuesday.
Transfer Details and Contract Terms
Gadou, a towering 1.95-meter defender, joined Salzburg in 2024 from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported €10 million. During his time with the Austrian club, he made 58 appearances for the first team. His Salzburg contract was originally set to run until 2029.
Dortmund has committed to a long-term investment, offering Gadou a contract until 2031. According to Sky reports, the transfer fee amounts to €19.5 million, with additional performance-based bonuses of €4.5 million and a sell-on clause for Salzburg.
