The Vienna State Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt) has solved a series of seven robberies from the night of May 23, 2026, in the districts of Hietzing, Penzing, and Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, and has arrested seven male suspects aged between 18 and 28.
After extensive investigations, seven suspects aged between 18 and 28 were arrested. This emerges from the inquiries of the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, which has solved the series of hold-ups from May. In total, the Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office ordered seven arrests as well as several house searches.
Course of Events in Three Vienna Districts
The offenses took place during the night of May 22, 2026, to May 23, 2026, in the Vienna districts of Hietzing, Penzing, and Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. According to police, the perpetrators acted in groups of three to five people, were masked, and partly armed with pistols. They are said to have threatened their victims with weapons and forced them to hand over cash and valuables. In two of the hold-ups, shots were allegedly even fired. The men then fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction.
