Berlin, July 10, 2026
Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier relocated his official duties on Friday from the renovation-needing Schloss Bellevue to a modular temporary seat at the Spreebogen in Berlin-Moabit.
Move with Protocolary Signals
In the morning at 9:30 a.m., the presidential standard was lowered at Schloss Bellevue. Subsequently, the gold-colored, square flag with a red border and federal eagle was newly raised on the roof of the new building at 10:30 a.m. This marks the completion of the move of the head of state and the approximately 220 staff members of the Federal President's Office. The visible sign of the change was the lowering of the presidential standard at the former place of work.
