Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker has announced a tax-free future savings account for children during the ORF summer interview broadcast, thereby marking a focal point of the government's work.
Stocker used the summer interview to set programmatic accents, presenting the project as a central family-policy initiative. A future savings account is to be structured as tax-free in order to support parents in building long-term wealth for their children.
In general, Stocker tried to spread a sense of optimism about the future, but also made his priorities clear: "Die ÖVP steht auch dafür, dass Österreich zuerst kommt, dann das Volk, und am Ende die Partei." With this ordering, he distinguished his party's line from that of other political competitors.
Once again, he spoke out in favor of a constitutionally regulated ban on political Islam, because "ich will nicht in einem islamischen Staat leben." There is a creeping infiltration, he said, that must be countered. Stocker justified his initiative with the protection of the democratic fundamental order.
