On Saturday, level 4 of 5 — and thus a high danger — applied in six rural districts, as the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection (MLEUV) announced. According to this, the affected districts were Barnim, Dahme-Spreewald, Elbe-Elster, Märkisch-Oderland, Oder-Spree with Frankfurt, and Teltow-Fläming.

In the rest of the state, there was a moderate danger. The authorities pointed out that open fires in forests and on meadows are particularly risky in the affected rural districts.
