Klein Upahl, 12 June 2026
In the murder trial over the death of eight-year-old Fabian, a witness incriminated the defendant on the eleventh day of hearings, testifying that the now 30-year-old woman had already led him to the later discovery site near Klein Upahl on the evening before the child's body was officially found.
The public prosecutor's office accuses the woman of killing him with six knife stabs and then setting him on fire. According to the indictment, the boy died on 10 October. The defendant has so far not commented on the charges. The presumption of innocence applies.
The 37-year-old, who accompanied the defendant at the time, said, according to a witness's account, that he had gone with the woman to the pond near Klein Upahl on the evening of 13 October. The witness described that the defendant had wanted to go to that specific spot deliberately. For him, it had felt as if she knew exactly where she wanted to go.
