Hartberg, 24 July 2026

Austrian Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg has signed the 21-year-old goalkeeper Armin Pécsi on a season-long loan from English record champions FC Liverpool, the club announced on Thursday.

From Liverpool's youth setup to East Styria

Pécsi was the regular goalkeeper for Liverpool's U21 team last season and made his debut for the Hungarian senior national team in June of this year. The Hungarian-Austrian dual national now moves on loan to East Styria and is expected to take on the role of the new number one in the upcoming Bundesliga season. Hartberg continues to place its trust in young players with international experience.

The 1.90-metre-tall shot-stopper was developed at Hungary's renowned Puskás Academy. After his stints in his home country and in Liverpool's youth setup, he will now continue his development in the Bundesliga. Pécsi therefore brings both international training and international competitive toughness to the club.
