Las Vegas, April 16, 2026

Courtenay Valenti, head of film at Amazon MGM Studios, asked fans to remain patient as the search for the next James Bond continues, during a highly anticipated presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

The Wait for 007

"Ich weiß, Sie fragen sich alle, wann wir verkünden, wer James Bond spielen wird," said Valenti, addressing the eager audience. "Freuen Sie sich bitte nicht zu früh." Her remarks underscored the careful approach being taken to cast the iconic role, nearly five years after Daniel Craig's final appearance in *No Time to Die*.

Insiders suggest the studio is considering lesser-known British actors in their late 20s or early 30s for the part. Names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Callum Turner, Jacob Elordi, and even 23-year-old Louis Partridge have circulated as potential candidates. However, Valenti emphasized that the decision will not be rushed.

A New Era for Bond

The next installment, tentatively titled *Bond 26*, marks a significant shift as it will be the first film without longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who have overseen the franchise since its inception in 1962. Instead, a high-profile team has been assembled, including producers Amy Pascal, David Heyman, and Tanya Lapointe, director Denis Villeneuve (*Dune: Part Three*), and screenwriter Steven Knight (*Peaky Blinders*).

"Wenn man eines der beliebtesten Franchises der Geschichte mit einem Weltklasse-Filmteam zusammenbringt, legt man den Grundstein für etwas, das dem Bond-Mythos wirklich gerecht wird," Valenti stated. The studio aims to honor the legacy of Ian Fleming's original novels while bringing a fresh vision to the character.
