A 60-year-old woman attacked her sleeping 79-year-old husband with scissors on Wednesday morning in Vienna-Simmering and, according to his account, threatened him with death.
After the attack, the pensioner went to the police station on Kaiser-Ebersdorfer Straße. According to the Vienna Police, he arrived there bare-chested with bleeding cut injuries on both arms. The officers immediately alerted the Vienna Professional Rescue Service, which provided emergency medical care to the 79-year-old.
In front of the police officers, the man described that his wife had attacked him with scissors while he slept. Afterwards, according to his words, the woman also threatened him with killing her. The exact background of the dispute was initially unclear; the woman did not make any statements to the officers.
