43-Year-Old Attacks Paramedics and Police at Hospital in Wels-Grieskirchen

The attacker was taken into custody on Tuesday itself. According to initial information, the man from the district of Wels-Land was taken to the Linz police detention centre. The emergency forces thereby followed the usual procedure after an attack on rescue and security personnel in Upper Austria.

Arrest and Transfer to Linz

The police have opened investigations on suspicion of bodily harm and resisting state authority. As the Upper Austria State Criminal Police Office announced, witnesses and the affected paramedics will be questioned about the course of the attack. The Wels public prosecutor's office is also examining possible further offences.
