North Korean hackers attacked the international cryptocurrency trading platform Binance last week, stealing cryptocurrencies worth an estimated $6.3 billion.

The attack on Binance is described as the largest theft of cryptocurrencies to date. According to 14 sources consulted for the assessment, North Korean hackers attacked the international trading platform last week and seized assets of the magnitude cited.

The case thus connects two separate worlds of news: on the one hand, the cryptocurrency industry, where digital trading venues deploy security systems to prevent theft, and on the other, the repeatedly cited state actors from North Korea, who are associated with such attacks in the sources.
