Washington, 01 November 2026

On 1 November 2026 in Washington, the FBI called on cryptocurrency exchanges and other industry service providers to block transactions involving a list of addresses attributed to North Korea or assets originating from them.

The US federal police agency issued a warning to companies in the cryptocurrency industry. It called on cryptocurrency exchanges and other industry service providers to block transactions involving these addresses or assets originating from them.

Through the list, the FBI aims to prevent assets believed to have been stolen or controlled by North Korean attackers from continuing to move through payment services and exchanges. The listed addresses and assets derived from them are therefore expressly covered by the measure.
